En juillet 2016, Naomi Falzone, 22 ans, étudiante à l'Université Paris 8, se rend pour la première fois en Inde, dans la région du Kerala, au sud du pays.
Étudiante en art dramatique, elle souhaite réaliser un travail ethnographique sur le théâtre contemporain indien. Sa mère, Sylvie Falzone, installée à Thrissur depuis 2014, a filmé de nombreux événements culturels et rencontré de nombreux artistes. Parmi eux, José Koshy, directeur de la société Invisible Lighting Solutions. Spécialisé dans la conception lumière pour spectacles (théâtre, danse, expositions, cérémonies privées…), il produit également des spectacles. Sa dernière production, créée en 2015, s'est achevée en 2017 avec 25 représentations. Sylvie F. a eu la chance de filmer toutes les étapes de cette aventure.
Naomi F. a rejoint la compagnie en juillet 2016, lors de la 8e représentation. Elle a pu suivre la troupe en tournée et interviewer tous les membres pendant trois heures.
Le livret du spectacle, écrit par James Elia, est adapté du roman « Upanyasam » de TV KOCHUBAVA, qui raconte l'histoire d'une troupe de cirque nomade tombée dans l'oubli.
Les numéros de cirque, à la fois périlleux et surprenants, ont laissé des souvenirs impérissables dans la mémoire des villageois.

July 2016, Naomi F., 22 years old, student at UNIVERSITY PARIS8 is going for the first time in INDIA in the southern region called KERALA.
As she is studying Drama, her goal is to achieve an etnographic work on an indian contemporary theatre. Her mother Sylvie F., is staying in Thrissur since 2014, she has recorded with her camera a lot of cultural events and meet a lot of artists. One of them is named Jose Koshy. He is directing a company called Invisible lighting Solutions. His main activity is to make lights for shows (drama, dance, exhibitons, private ceremonies...) but he is also producer of drama shows. The last show he produced started with a creation in 2015 and finished in 2017 with 25 performances. Sylvie F. had the chance to record all the steps of this adventure.
Naomi F. joined the company in July 2016 at the 8th performance. She had the chance to follow the troup on the tour and get an interview of all the members during 3 hours.
The script of the show written by James Elia is adapted from a book written by TV KOCHUBAVA "Upanyasam", a story of a nomadic circus group moved into oblivion.
Circus numbers were very dangerous and surprising, they left in the villagers mind buried memories.

LA REALISATRICE
En novembre 2013, Sylvie FALZONE quitte la compagnie de théâtre internationale itinérante qu'elle dirige depuis seize ans pour se consacrer à sa propre vie. Elle devient SILVANO Sissi, l'artiste qui ressent le besoin de s'exprimer à travers diverses activités culturelles. Son chemin la mène au Kerala, une région du sud de l'Inde. Elle part seule, munie de sa caméra et de son ordinateur. Là-bas, elle rencontre de nombreux artistes et participe à de nombreux événements culturels. Elle rentre en France en juillet 2017 avec le projet de réaliser un film documentaire. Sa fille, Naomi FALZONE étudiante en théâtre à l'Université Paris 8, la rejoint au Kerala en juillet 2016 pour mener une étude ethnographique sur une compagnie de théâtre indienne. Le documentaire, finalisé en août 2018, est le fruit de leur collaboration, de leur complicité et de la mise en commun de leurs compétences respectives. Sylvie FALZONE entend poursuivre son aventure au Kerala et travaille actuellement à l'écriture de son prochain projet.
«SOUVENIRS ENFOUIS » est son premier court métrage documentaire.
In November 2013 Sylvie Falzone left a traveling international theater company that she has managed for 16 years to dedicate herself to her own life. She became SILVANO Sissi, the artist who needs to express herself through different cultural activities. Her way took her to Kerala, a region in southern India. She left alone with her camera and computer. There, she will meet a large number of artists and attend a large number of cultural events. She returned to France in July 2017 with the project of making a documentary film. Her daughter Naomi Falzone , a theater student at Paris8 University, joined her in Kerala in July 2016 to do an etnographic study on an Indian theater company. The documentary has just been finalized in August 2018, it is the fruit of their collaboration, the sharing of their complicity and the pooling of their respective skills. Sylvie Falzone intends to continue her adventure at KERALA and is working on writing her next project. "BURIED MEMORIES" is her first short documentary.
